That is unless you have already done something to clean up those files & directories. You should notice a speed increase afterwards as well as getting back a lot of disk space. The easiest way would be to install something like CCleaner (what I use) and run the default options. To help cleanup the PC, uninstalling unused programs may help some but most of the slowdown will be caused by files Windows creates in temp directories that will need to be cleaned up. Hyperspin needs a lot of horsepower so don't expect it to run quick on an older PC. Windows is just fine and more emulators and front end options exist for it than Linux. If you haven't worked with Linux before I would stick with Windows.
